Anna Edwards-Stuart
Anna’s practice areas cover intellectual property and
information technology. She has experience in all areas of
intellectual property law, including patents, copyright, trade
marks, passing off, design rights, confidential information,
database rights, performers’ rights and domain name
disputes. Her IT practice covers ‘look and feel’,
as well as computer contract disputes.
Anna has a strong scientific background, having studied in
life sciences and biotechnology, and has a doctorate in molecular
biology. She is therefore particularly well placed to advise
clients in the life sciences field.
Anna regularly appears in the High Court, the Patents County
Court, the Trade Mark Registry and before the Appointed Person,
and has advised in relation to ICC arbitrations, ICANN and
Nominet disputes, and proceedings before the EPO, the Court
of First Instance, and OHIM. She also has attended a number
of mediations.
Anna is rated as a “real star of the future”,
with “a confident style in court” and “a
great sense of humour” (Legal 500). According to Chambers
and Partners, Anna “has impressed with her proactive
attitude” and “makes herself indispensable, engulfing
herself in a case”.
