Professor
David Vaver
David Vaver is Professor Emeritus of Intellectual Property
and Information Technology Law in the University of Oxford
and the former Director of the Oxford Intellectual Property
Research Centre, having retired his chair at the end of 2007.
Before coming to Oxford, he taught law for some 20 years in
Canada (Osgoode Hall and UBC) and before that at the University
of Auckland. His works include editing the 5-volume compilation
Intellectual Property Rights: Critical Concepts in Law
(Routledge, 2006), co-editing Intellectual Property in
the New Millennium (Cambridge U.P., 2004), and authoring
Intellectual Property Law: Copyright, Patents, Trade-marks
(Irwin Law, 1997), Copyright Law (Irwin Law, 2000),
and numerous other publications on intellectual property rights
and contract law in scholarly journals.
