11 South Square offers extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the law of confidence, including under the Trade Secrets (Enforcement, etc.) Regulations 2018. Chambers’ primary strength is the protection of trade secrets through the action for breach of confidence, frequently in the context of disputes between employers and their ex-employees. These disputes regularly comprise technical or scientific subject matter and members of chambers have the expertise required to assist. We have acted in cases concerning confidential information and trade secrets across a wide range of technical subject matter, including high-frequency (quantitative) trading strategies, the design of Formula 1 racing cars, the design of medica devices, the formulation of edible infused oils and the recipe for ‘Reggae Reggae Sauce’.

Members are experienced in and frequently deal with consequential issues of confidentiality in the context of intellectual property disputes involving other intellectual property rights.
